Body composition analysis in Zurich using the InBody 770 – clarity rather than guesswork
A standard set of scales only shows you your total weight. With our InBody 770 body composition analysis in Zurich We analyse your skeletal muscle mass, body fat, segmental muscle distribution, body water, visceral fat and other relevant measurements.
The actual measurement takes around 60 seconds. Afterwards, we’ll explain your results to you in person and show you what the next steps should be to help you achieve your goal.

Your body is more than just a number on the scales
Body weight alone does not indicate whether your body is actually changing in the way you want it to. You can lose body fat and build muscle at the same time without your weight changing significantly. Conversely, a lower weight does not automatically mean that you have lost only fat.
A professional body composition analysis helps you to gain a more nuanced understanding of your current situation. Rather than simply monitoring your weight, you can see the composition and distribution of your muscle mass, body fat and body water.
This will give you a solid foundation on which to plan your training, your diet and your next goals effectively.
Stop judging your progress solely on the basis of your body weight.
The InBody 770 body composition analyser displays these values
The InBody 770 analyses muscle mass, body fat and body water, and clearly presents key measurements on a results sheet. These include segmental lean body mass distribution, visceral fat and the phase angle.
Skeletal muscle mass
You’ll find out how much skeletal muscle mass your body has and how this compares to your body weight.
Segmental muscle distribution
The analysis examines your right and left arms, both legs and your torso separately. This reveals differences in the distribution of your lean body mass.
Body fat
You’ll find out your body fat percentage and your total body fat mass. This gives you a much better indication than body weight alone.
Visceral fat
Visceral fat refers to the fatty tissue in the abdominal cavity surrounding the internal organs. The InBody analysis provides a guide to this.
Body water
The InBody 770 distinguishes between intracellular and extracellular water. This gives you a detailed insight into your body’s fluid distribution.
Phase angle
The phase angle serves as an indicator of cell integrity and intracellular water content. It is not interpreted in isolation, but is always considered alongside your other results.
Your results sheet includes other figures such as weight, BMI, muscle-to-fat ratio and an estimated basal metabolic rate. Together, we’ll focus on the figures that are actually relevant to your personal goal.
Who would benefit from a body composition analysis in Zurich?
The InBody analysis is suitable for people with a variety of goals. What matters isn’t how fit you already are, but that you want to gain a better understanding of your starting point and your progress.
Losing weight and reducing body fat
You can see whether your body fat is actually decreasing and whether your muscle mass is being maintained whilst you lose weight. Find out more about our weight-loss programme in Zurich.
Muscle building and body sculpting
The analysis shows you how much muscle mass you have, how it is distributed throughout your body, and how it changes as you train.
Sport and Performance Enhancement
Athletes receive an objective assessment of their current fitness level and can track changes in muscle mass and body composition over a longer period of time.
Health-focused assessment of the current situation
The analysis is also suitable for people who wish to gain a better understanding of their bodies and recognise changes at an early stage. However, it is not a substitute for a medical examination or diagnosis.
Here’s how your body composition analysis works at Ultimate Personal Training
01 Initial personal consultation
To start with, we’ll have a quick chat about your goals, your training and the reason for your body composition analysis. This will help us understand which metrics are particularly important to you.
02 InBody 770 measurement
You stand barefoot on the device and hold the handles fitted with the built-in electrodes. The non-invasive measurement takes around 60 seconds and is painless.
03 Personal assessment
After the measurement, we’ll go through your results sheet together. We’ll explain in simple terms what your muscle, fat and water readings mean.
04 Specific next steps
Based on your results, we’ll discuss which areas to focus on in terms of training, nutrition and progress monitoring. That way, you’ll leave the gym not just with figures, but with a clear plan of action.
You don’t just get figures – you get a clear analysis
A results sheet containing lots of figures is only useful if you understand what those figures mean to you.
That’s why we always consider your results in the context of your goals, your current fitness level and your everyday life. We’ll show you which metrics are a priority, where there’s room for improvement, and what changes you should look out for in future assessments.
Understand
We’ll explain your results to you in a way that’s easy to understand, without using any unnecessary technical terms.
Prioritise
You’ll find out which values you should focus on to achieve your personal goal.
Compare
In subsequent measurements, you can track your progress under conditions that are as comparable as possible.
How to prepare for your InBody scan
Body water distribution, meals and physical activity can influence the results of a BIA measurement. To ensure that the values are as comparable as possible, you should bear the following points in mind:
Please come on an empty stomach if possible, or at least three hours after your last substantial meal.
Take your measurement before your workout and avoid doing any strenuous exercise immediately beforehand.
Drink as normal the day before and, if possible, go to the toilet before taking the measurement.
You must take off your shoes and socks for the measurement.
Please remove heavy clothing, watches and large items of jewellery before the measurement.
Repeat measurements should, where possible, be carried out at the same time of day and under similar conditions.
Safety notice
If you are pregnant or have an implanted electronic medical device, such as a pacemaker, we will not carry out the measurement without prior medical consultation.

Frequently asked questions about body composition analysis in Zurich
The InBody 770 body composition analysis at Ultimate Personal Training costs CHF 99. The price includes the measurement, your personalised results sheet and a joint review of the key muscle, fat and water readings. The entire session lasts a maximum of 30 minutes.
The actual measurement with the InBody 770 takes around 60 seconds. Including the brief preliminary discussion and the personalised interpretation of your results, you should allow a maximum of 30 minutes for the entire appointment.
The analysis measures, amongst other things, your skeletal muscle mass, your segmental lean body mass distribution, your body fat mass, your body fat percentage, your visceral fat, and your intracellular and extracellular water distribution. It also displays values such as the phase angle and an estimated basal metabolic rate.
The InBody 770 uses segmental multi-frequency bioimpedance analysis. As with any BIA measurement, meals, exercise, body water and the time of day can influence the results. The analysis is therefore particularly valuable as a standardised baseline measurement and for subsequent comparisons under similar conditions.
To ensure the results are as comparable as possible, we recommend that you come for the test on an empty stomach or at least three hours after your last substantial meal. The test should also be carried out before training and after using the toilet.
Body composition analysis in itself does not lead to weight loss. However, it shows you whether your body fat, muscle mass and body composition are changing. This enables you to assess whether your training and nutrition strategy is having the desired effect.
A single measurement is sufficient for an initial assessment. If you are following an active training or nutrition programme, it is a good idea to take regular measurements. The appropriate frequency depends on your goal. It is important to carry out repeat measurements under similar conditions wherever possible.
Yes. The InBody 770 body composition analysis can be booked as a standalone service at Ultimate Personal Training for CHF 99. You do not need to have an existing personal training membership to do so.

No. Body composition analysis provides valuable information about your body composition and is useful for monitoring your training, diet and progress. However, it is not a substitute for a medical examination and should not be regarded as a medical diagnosis in its own right.
